Obituary of Muriel Geneva Farrell

Farrell (Small), Muriel Geneva Age 93 of Digby, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015 at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born on September 14, 1922 in Grand Manan, NB, she was the daughter of the late Heber and Hazel (Dalzell) Small. Muriel worked in the kitchen at CFB Cornwallis and as a receptionist/assistant to Dr. Outhouse, Dentist. She liked to feed and watch the hummingbirds and she loved cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going on day outings, reading, eating seafood, picnics at Kejimkujik, visiting Grand Manan and especially bingo. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter “Jim” Farrell and her brother, Thorton Small. She is survived by sons, Randy (Darlene Auby), and Kevin, daughters, Darlene and Tammy (Mark Walker), grandchildren, Jeff, Jim, Rebecca and Rachel, great-grandchild, Seth, sister in law, Peggy Small and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for their support. Visitation will be held in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal on Monday, November 9th from 6-8 pm. A private family graveside service will be held in Forest Hills Cemetery, Digby. Flowers are welcome or donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Diabetes Association or the T.L.C. Animal Shelter.
