Obituary of June Helena Ellis Whitman

Whitman, June Helena Ellis – 89, of Bridgetown formerly of Round Hill, passed away December 22, 2015, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Litchfield, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara (Ellis) Munro. June was a past member of St. Mary’s Chapter #149, Order of the Eastern Star, Athena Temple #149 and Daughters of the Nile. June taught Sunday school, she made several birthday, anniversary and wedding cakes. She enjoyed all types of puzzles and made her own clothes. June is survived by her only son, Willian Arthur; sister, Myrna Pearce, Meissner’s Section; brother, Welsford Munro, Meissner’s Section. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest “Kirk” (June 2, 2015); brothers, Alton and Lawrence Munro. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
