Dear Sweet Aunt Evie: I will never hear you say to me again,'' Hi sweetie''
Your greatest joy in life was your family and friends for whom you always had an open heart and home! How amazing it was to see your determination to live your life the way you wanted for as long as you could! You were such an inspiration and Strong Life Force to me beyond compare !You turned down no invitation always ready to have a new experience, connect with new people and renew old friendships! We have laughed together and cried together,so many memories! Speaking of memory! Oh my ,you definately had a special edition brain which contained so many dates and names ,memories that you kept totally organized....that I have never or since experienced with anyone else! Who knew it was even possible! Remember last Christmas when I was trying to convince you that the new black jacket I bought was the latest style the fact that it was hanging weird when all that was wrong was I couldn't see to button it properly without my glasses! I have never seen you laugh so hard! Remember my first overnight visit with you when I was four! I have hundreds of stories and I have no words to describe the love I have for you! It was my complete honour to spend your last hours with you ,singing to you and stroking your head! Thank you Sue Eaton! If anyone can visit from the other side ,it will be you,Aunt Evie, hitching a ride on a butterfly!I will be watching and waiting ! I love you so much !

We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Evie. We know how much she had meant to her family. We were always impressed by the way Evie could recount stories in such great detail which spanned back several decades.

Dear Kathy &Paul
It was a pleasure to have met Aunt Evie! It was lovely to sit around the campfire and chat with her about NL. She loved to talk about Pennywell Rd in St John's and was delighted that we were able to relate to the city. Please accept our condolences. She was a great lady and will be missed.

There is so much for us to say about Aunt Evie. To use a common word to describe her, she was "sweet". As a young boy I was spoilt with her love and caring and obviousy taught about kindness and having a sense of humour! Aunt Evie was very dear to me then and continued to be a big influence on me until the day she died. We spent hours on the phone visiting, she would write cards and keep in touch as often as she could. The physical distance (2 different provinces) did not impact the special bond we shared. She kept our family "glued" together and loved myself, my wife and all our children & grandchildren with the biggest heart anyone could have. To say she "will be missed" doesn't cover it....but the influence she had on the Schnare family lives on forever.
Love Dave, Pat and family.

My Aunt Evie was a very classy, witty, sweet woman who touched the heart of everyone she met. She influenced me dearly even over the distance of Ontario from Nova Scotia. My childhood memories and my adult contact with her will be engrained in my heart forever. I am told I am a lot like her....how lucky I am. I love you Aunt Evie. Soar like the Angel you are.
Love Missy
