Durling, Doris – Bridgetown, formerly of Granville Ferry, passed away peacefully January 18, 2016 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital with her granddaughter, Melissa by her side. Born in Clarence, November 25, 1928, she was the daughter the late Effie and Charles Grant. She was 1 of 12 children. Doris loved life and had no greater joy than being with her family. Left to mourn her loss are her son, Greg Durling (Lori); grandchildren, Annette (Dwayne), Melissa (Andrew), Justin (Terri), Blake (Allison); great grandchildren, Noah, Lucy and Casey. She was predeceased by husband, Emerson; daughter, Susan and son inlaw, Terrance Early. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Thursday January 21, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, from the Granville Ferry Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Legassie officiating. Reception to follow in church hall. Private burial in Maplevista Cemetery, Clementsport. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital and the Saunders Rest Home for their great care of our Mother.
