Obituary of James Edwin Baker

Baker, James Edwin “Jimmy” - 66, Clarence. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of James E. Baker announce his sudden passing on February 8, 2016 at Valley Regional Hospital. Born June 22, 1949, he lived his life in Clarence in the old home place. He was the youngest son of the late Dave and Betty Baker (formerly of Bridgetown and East Chester) He was a loving husband, father and brother. He loved and cherished his grandchildren, Kaleb, Marin, and Kaitlyn “squirt”. Other than his grandchildren he is survived by his wife, Annette (Merry), Clarence; daughter, Jennifer (William Oickle) Princedale; son, Jason, Clarence; brothers, David (Linda), Clarence, Richard (Sandra), Bridgetown; sister, Ann, Bridgetown; mother in-law, Nina Merry; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Lisa Ann Baker-Petrie; father in-law, Charles Merry. Jimmy worked many years as a fishermen for National Sea and recently was employed at VJ Rice’s Concrete. Jimmy had a big heart, loved life, and his family and friends. When he chuckled he laughed from head to toe. He travelled the globe when he worked for the Coast Guard and Department of National Defense. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 13, 2016, from St. James Anglican Church, Bridgetown, with Rev. Joel Hardy officiating.
