Obituary of Mick Scromeda

Scromeda, Mick, Departed this life on February 23, 2016 in Annapolis Royal, N.S. Born March 24, 1937 in St. Andrews, MB he was a son of Harry and Mary. Brother to Stephanie Wehrle (Chuck) and Edward (Lenora). He was predeceased by his brother John (Mildred). Married since 1961 to his loving wife Ursula, and father to Naomi (Doug Callaghan), Shawn (Sally Gomery) and Nicole (Peter Ives) and grandfather to wonderful grandchildren Alia, Madeleine, Charlotte, Edward, Paulina, Nicolas, Annika and Natasha. Mick was proud of his service as a pilot with the RCAF, and especially liked to recall flying the F-86 (Sabre) for 427 Squadron. He had many other assignments and roles, inside the armed forces and out, including a position as management consultant for the United Nations in Jordan. But he was also happy swinging a set of golf clubs or stirring a pot of chili. He lived a full life and is fondly remembered. Now he can joyfully fly onwards. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral Mass will be held 1:00pm Saturday February 27, from Saint Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal. In lieu of flowers donations in his honour to a worthy cause of your choice.
