Shipp, Harold "Glenn" 78, of Middleton, passed away July 9, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Born in West Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Harold and Lena (Gillis) Shipp. Glenn was employed with Chas. Dargie & Son Annapolis Royal for 25 years, as well as in retail the furniture business in Halifax and Kingston until his retirement. He will be remembered as a caring, loving father who was always supportive of his children and extended family. He is survived by his children, Gail Shipp, Truro; Dean (Cindy) Shipp, Upper Granville; David (Susan) Shipp, Calgary; Lynn (Michael) Scott, Granville Ferry; Larry (Kathleen) Shipp, Halifax; caregiver and companion Joan Gilles, Middleton; former wife Carolyn Scott, Annapolis Royal; grandchildren, Nicholas Rector, Robyn (Max) Stulberger, Richie (Rebecca) Shipp, Amber (Steve) Tulissi, Adam Shipp, Katie Shipp, Colin Shipp, Andrew Shipp; step-grandson Joey Scott, and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Velva Hannam; Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Following the service a reception will be held in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the West Dalhousie Baptist Church Cemetery, West Dalhousie. At Glenn's request no flowers or visitation.
