Obituary of Alma Elisabeth House

Alma Elisabeth House died peacefully at Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, on Saturday August 6, 2016 at 4 PM at the age of 66 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Alma is predeceased by her father, Cyril; sister, Margaret and step father, Vernon Venoit and step sister Joy. She is survived by two daughters, Fiona Thorson and Jette Thorson and son-in-law, Samer Debs. She is also survived by her mother, Jeanette House-Venoit and 7 siblings, Cyril House (wife, Marie), Seth House (wife, Gloria), Lorne House (wife, Gladys), Althea House (husband, Yvan), Wayne House (wife, Intan), Dan House (partner, Leah) and Anita House-MacLean (husband, Gene), step sisters Heather and Holly. Alma is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as cousins and friends. From a young age, Alma was a high-energy person who loved people and life. She was a dedicated nurse and also really enjoyed exercising her business savvy through such work as her Mary Kay Beauty Product business. All whose life was touched by Alma loved her and will remember her as a dynamic and loving person. She will be sorely missed but she is at peace and at rest now. A memorial service will be held Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 4 PM at St James Anglican Church in Bridgetown Nova Scotia, and her ashes will be spread privately in her beloved Newfoundland.
