Dear Vinna and Family, it is with sad but still joyful hearts that we heard of Basil's passing. He was a wonderful man and we enjoyed our visits with you folks. We can just see that he is celebrating with Mom (Mae Munroe and Jessie Fox) for sure. Our love and prayers go out to you and your family. How good it is to know your loved one is with the Lord now. What a privilege it was for me to have known Reverend Pierce. He was such an example to all of what it means to be a Christian. He has been a wonderful ambassador for our Lord Jesus Christ and only our Heavenly Father knows of the lives that have been touched through his ministry. He was loved by all, the old and young alike - always ready with a hug and smile. We will miss him and his ministry. When asking him a question about something requiring serious thought, he will always be remembered for his answer, "What would Jesus do?" We thank God upon every remembrance of Reverend Basil Whitman Pierce. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you all. Amen.

Sister Vinna and family- I want to be one of the many to offer my condolences to you. I shall remember seeing and meeting him when he was a deacon at Valley Pentecostal Church in Granville Ferry-what great services we would have when the Spirit would touch him and all those gathered there- Oh the power felt there. What a greater day that will be when we all meet together in heaven. It is good to know we don't mourn as those who have no hope. I'm not able to attend the service but will be thinking of you.
