It was with great sadness that I received the news of Pat's passing. He was a true friend from the time we first met as recruits in 1949, over 65 years ago, and through our years as paratroopers. It might be because he was a little older than I but he got me out of trouble a number of times. Since those days he has always kept in touch and we shared many good moments together. Pat was a wonderful person. Kind and thoughtful; he was a gentleman who always saw the best in people.
We will all miss him but will never forget him. Please accept my sincere sympathies and know that I am thinking of you at this time.

Thinking of you all at this time. It's never easy to lose a brother, parent or grandparent at any age. I was happy to get in to visit him a couple weeks ago and meet his wonderful Grandson. Pat was a very welcoming presence each time I came home for a visit. Sincerely, Marcia

We want to express our sincere sympathy to the Potter family. We were blessed to have a wonderful friendship with Pat for the past several years. Pat and Gord had lots of chats on the phone and we visited him when we were in the area. There were many phone calls during the curling games on the TV as Gord and Pat enjoyed the game. It was Pat who actually got Gord interested in this sport. We also enjoyed the harvest of getting the best rhubard from Pats garden patch. Pat and Gord shared the many stories of their armed forces days and had lots of laughs. Pat was a loyal and true friend to us and many others and will be missed throughout the communities that he supported in every way. Love and friendship to all and may God bless. Janice and family,
We were very fortunate to have known your dad and will miss seeing him at the Legion and Forester Hall suppers. His love of life and participation in so many local activities was an inspiration to everyone around him. May the many memories you share of Pat bring solace to you and your family during this difficult time.

My sympathy to Janice and Pat, and all Pat's family.
Pat was a good man, a devoted husband and father, and a good friend. He was always happy and cheerful, and never complained about his lot in life. He loved to dance, and we had many good times together, dancing at the House of Roth and at the Red Barn.
Rest in peace, Pat

To Janice, Dr. Pat and family, I got to know your Dad while your Mom was a resident at Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. All of us married women should be so lucky to have a husband like your Dad was to Nan. I have never seen such dedication to.a spouse as he was. He visited daily and if he was going away, he got someone else to visit. Of course, over the years, we fell in love with Pat. I will never forget his teasing. He enjoyed this immensely. Pat continued to visit us right up until his illness, bringing us treats. I will never forget this kind and loving GENTLEMAN. I know you will miss him for a long time. May the happy memories you shared with him (especially his homemade bread) help sustain you in the next several years as you continue on without him. God bless you all,
Sincerely, Linda Bailey, R.N.

When looking from the choir loft on Sunday or other special occasions I will think of him fondly each time I see his empty chair. Peter and I will miss his warm hearted greetings at the church door on Sunday, discussing family, community events and sharing fellowship with each other. On one of his last outings at a Murder Mystery dinner I was honoured to have him sit beside me at the table and joke about not really knowing what was going on but laughing and enjoying all the fun everyone was having. He was a truely wonderful gentleman. May his family be comforted in the knowledge that he was well loved by all.
