Obituary of Maria Carolina Gaudet
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Carolina Gaudet, age 79, of Granville Centre, on July 6, 2017 at the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born June 29, 1938 in Hilversum, Holland, Maria was the daughter of the late Jacobus and Helene (Schwarz) den Haan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by daughter Josette (Donald) Comeau; sons Mark (Sheila) Gaudet, Andre (Marianne) Gaudet, Paul (Lesley) Gaudet, and Jean-Louis (Alana) Gaudet; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings Dirk (Mary) den Haan, Frank (Cathy) den Haan, Mitzi (Al) Durham, Tonny (Joe) Leyten, Lea (Eric) Gebhardt, Lisa (Peter Young) Martell, Ellie (Danny) Williams, Max (late Charlene) den Haan, Jon (Darlene) den Haan, Ineke (Terry) Porter, and Karlene den Haan. Maria is predeceased by her husband Elisee Jean Gaudet and sister Lenie (Larry) Fletcher. A memorial service will held 12:30 pm, Monday, July 10, 2017 at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Annapolis Community Health Centre (Annapolis Royal) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
