I send my sincerest sympathies to the Thorne family on my friend Carol's passing. Carol and I were good friends and comrades within the Rug Hooking Guild of NS and sat on several commitees on on the board of Directors of the RHGNS. I traveled down to visit from PEI on many occasions and stayed with Carol at her home. We had many fun times at rug school and elsewhere. I have great memories of our friendship and had hoped I would see her when I come to the maritimes in June.
Rest in Peace my friend.
Kindest regards,
Claudia

I had the pleasure of meeting Carol through Rug Hooking. We connected then and became friends as I got involved in different positions in our Fundy Group, Rug School and the NSRHG. We had many good conversations together and great laughs as well.
Carol was truly a very strong person and fought her illness with a lot of strength.
May she now Rest in Peace.
Sending my deepest sympathy to all her family and her many close friends.
She will be missed.

Our sincere sympathy to you, David and your family as well. Carol's vibrancy and attitude towards life certainly stand out in my mind when I recall time spent together in CGIT, PYPS and school - never a dull moment with Carol! Little did we know that we would share a common nephew some years later. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this sorrow. We know she will live on in your hearts,

Although this was expected, it is always so very difficult to lose a loved one and Carol was much loved by many people including me. She was a wonderful person and so helpful to others; kind, generous and lots of fun. Carol will be greatly missed by family and friends alike and I was so very sorry to hear of her passing. Sincere condolences are extended to David, Christine, Stephen, her two adorable grandsons, Ryan & Kyle, and all other members of Carol's family. God bless you!!

My heart is breaking at hearing of Carol's passing, so I know yours has been shattered. She truly was my best friend and, although we haven't seen each other for a few years, I think of her often and always with a smile or chuckle at some of our past antics. Sending hugs to you, David, and to Stephen & Christine. I refuse to say goodbye to my friend, so I will say "until we meet again...I love you Carol and will miss you dearly"

Dave, I am so sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this most difficult time. I haven’t seen you since you closed up your business in Shelburne and were moving to the Valley. I still remember when you would come in our office and especially remember your light hearted stories of training your dogs. Take care Dave and may God grant you his peace as you face the challenging days ahead.

Your memories should carry you through this time of sorrow. I know I have many memories through Girl Guides, especially one that comes to mind. Brownie and Guide Leaders thought it would be great to put a float in Shelburne Christmas parade. Who else but Carol would wrap themselves (with a little help from friends) in quilt batting and dress up as a snowman and walk in that parade. Somewhere in my pictures I have, or at used to have a picture of that.
