Obituary of Helen Karen Hirtle

Hirtle, Helen Karen, 68 of Clementsport passed away peacefully on Monday Feb. 26, 2018 in the Dixon Center, VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Sydney to the late John and Evelyn (Brewer) Zillman. Helen worked for 30 years as a lab technician . She loved her crafts, the outdoors and was very sociable, always willing to give a helping hand. On August 19, 1972 she married her loving husband of 45 years, Allister Hirtle. We who are left behind with heavy hearts and loving memories are: husband Allister; sisters, Joan MacPhee, Barbara (Bradley) Shaw and Sandra (Dave) Landry; brothers, Brian (Brenda) Zillman, David (Elizabeth) Zillman and Shawn (Donna) Zillman; brother-in-law Roger (Heather) Hirtle, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother-in-law, John MacPhee.  We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Annapolis Community Health Centre and Dixon Centre at the VG Site, QEII Hosptial for the care and compassion shown to Helen and her family. As per Helen’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. There will be no service by request.
