Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Taylor

Taylor, Margaret Elizabeth 76 of Belleisle passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on July 24, 2018. Margie was born August 5, 1941 in Belleisle, Anna. Co. where she lived for 76 years. Margaret worked at Mountain Lea Lodge for 26 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed various activities such as playing cards, crosswords, watching wrestling, knitting, sewing and cooking. She was famous for her mincemeat pie, blueberry pie, rocky road squares, chocolate macaroons and her oh henry squares which her family enjoyed on more than one occasion. Margaret is survived by sister, Helen; children, Michael (Beverly) Taylor, Bridgetown; Deborah Taylor of Halifax; Julia (Rusty) Bezanson, East Inglisville; John (Wendy) Taylor, Bridgetown and Victoria Cress of Fredericton; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Moltke and Hilda (Goldsmith) Gesner; her husband George Arthur; daughters, Carolyn and Barbara and a son Anthony; grandson Nicholas and a half -brother Gordon Greenough. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday from the Bridgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the Gesner Cemetery, Belleisle. Donations in Margie’s memory may be sent to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
