Obituary of Leon Thurston Rafuse
Leon Thurston Rafuse, 86 of Parkers Cove passed away January 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, gone to join his dear wife, Twila. Born in Youngs Cove, he was the son of Emma and Joseph Rafuse. Leon was a well-known valley car salesman at Bruce Chev Old in Middleton for over 40 years. He had a passion for tractors, cars and a love for seafood. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and tending to his fruit trees. In his later years he enjoyed visits from his grandchildren and weekend drives. Leon is survived by his children, Glen (Marilyn) of Clementsvale, Craig (Edith) Rafuse of Litchfield, Jeffrey of Parkers Cove, Heather of Bridgetown, Crystal (Herb) Taylor of Red Deer, Melissa (Kirk) Longmire of Coldbrook; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Allison (Iris) Rafuse, Parkers Cove, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Twila Betty Rafuse. Visitation will take place 7-9pm Sunday, with a funeral service being held 2pm Monday , January 14, 2019 both from the Kaulbach family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
