Aunty Irene was pure joy. It never mattered how long it was between seeing each other she always instantly knew who I was and embraced me as a special part of her family. She had the same gift as Nanny to make you feel loved and important. I cherish the time spent with her and Nanny when they lived together in Greenwood. Her home was a lovely, cosy place to curl up and knit. Thinking of you all as you gather to remember her life well lived and well loved.

Please accept my sincere condolences on Irene's passing. I was one of the many lucky CCA's that took care of her while she was at the Lodge. I'll miss talking with her about my sister(Judy Huntley) and Patty when they were kids.
