Obituary of Donna Marie Hayden

Donna Marie Hayden – died April 17, 2019 at the Annapolis Community Health Centre.  Born in Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Capt. George McRae and Margaret Porter (McRae/Dean). Donna grew up in Karsdale, NS, moving to Guelph, Ont. and Montreal, Que; then returning to Port Wade where she married David Hayden.  While living in Port Wade she was an active member and volunteer at the Port Wade Baptist Church.  She and David later moved to Granville Ferry.  Donna was predeceased by her husband David (April 7, 2019); her sister Dorothy; half-siblings, Capt.  Clare, Harold and David McRae, Mary Grace Parker and a step sister, Joan Dean.  She is survived by a sister Blanche (Don) McEwan of Guelph, Ont. and a step brother Gary (Marcia) Dean of Nepean, Ont. As well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.  In accordance with Donna’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service held 2:00 p.m., April 20, 2019, at Port Wade Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Randy Legassie officiating.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Port Wade Baptist Church or Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
