I was so sorry to hear that Wanda had passed away Ray. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and when I first met her ,I felt as if I had always known her as she was just one of those special individuals who was so easy to talk to . I remember the delicious cookies she made for your painters at your and Heather Beaton's workshops when we were at your farm . She was so proud of your success as a professional artist and it was very obvious how supportive she was and how much you loved each other. Ray, you were there beside her through her heroic battle always with tender love and care and she was so grateful for that.
We had a wonderful chat earlier in the fall and I regret not visiting her. I was blessed to have known her and have fond memories I will always cherish. May all of the special memories you and each member of your family have of her bring to you great comfort. in time. She will be forever with each of you , in that sacred place in your hearts that only she can inhabit
.May God wrap His loving loving arms around you each at this extremely difficult time.
Our deepest sympathy, Maxine and Willis Marshall

Ray,
I was so sorry to learn of Wanda's passing .
The Covid years have meant that we have not seen friends as often as we would like .
Wanda had a smile that lit up her face and included everyone she knew. We are very
sorry for your loss.

I want to share this memory with you Ray. You lived near my parents in Lr. Sackville. My son, Adrian, who was just a toddler, got to know Wanda. He called her “ Monkey “, which she assured me was ok with her. He is now 51. When I told her she had passed away, he said he remembered her. What he remembered the most was her smile. Our sincere condolences.

Mr.Sanford and Scott. I will always remember your family because I spent just as much time in your house on Aspen Crescent as I did in my own. Growing up across the street from all of you was great. I still remember the weekend that Mrs.Sanford taught Dawn and I how to make homemade bread. Punching the dough was great fun. Mrs.Sanford was like a second mom to me as I'm sure mine was to Dawn. I will always remember the Van Ins that both Mr and Mrs Sanford invited me to attend, whether it was to keep Dawn company or just because. Out of all the families in our neighborhood, your family was by far the coolest. Mrs Sanford would listen to my problems and help me find either a solution or a way to break it to my own mom. She was funny, kind but most of all fair. I don't think I remember a time that I ever heard her speak badly about anyone, but then she wasn't really into gossip or bad mouthing. Mr Sanford, my mother sends her condolences too. I have so many memories of Mrs Sanford and your family that I would be here for days and days sharing them all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Thank you for being our friends/second family *hugs to all*

My dear Ray; It was always so clear that you both loved each other dearly so her departure must be dreadfully hard on you. It's been a hard year for you. Wanda was an excellent cook/baker and I always privileged those times I was invited for dinner.f She supported you and your art and endured me coming every Sunday for lessons in art from you. I was, and still am, grateful to you both. May your sorrows ease and good things come your way. My heartfelt sympathy to you at this times.

In spite of all the medical issues that Wanda faced the past several years, she never complained and always thought of others before herself. Never saw her without a big smile on her face, and appreciated all the times she visited mum in the nursing home. Condolences to Ray, Scott, and family for your considerable loss.
