Obituary of Terry Gordon Hamilton
Hamilton, Terry Gordon – 67, of Lequille. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born May 24, 1956, in Annapolis Royal, Terry was the son of the late Gordon and Verna (Stromecki) Hamilton.
At the age of 15, Terry started his working career with Mark Leonard, and in 1995 he started Hamilton’s Burner Service which was one of his greatest accomplishments. Terry was very active; in his younger years he played hockey with the IGA Sabers, softball with the Port Royal Legion, he then played co-ed lobball with his wife Brenda, was a member of the 74 Crusaders Motorcycle club and even up till last year played golf. Terry was an active member of the Port Royal Legion, Branch 21 as well as with the Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department for 47 years. Spending his free time at Grand Lake, was something he enjoyed so much, spending time with his family and watching all the hummingbirds come and go.
Terry is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Natasha, St. Margaret’s Bay and Lindsay, New Minas; grandchildren, Ava Grace, Dakota Rose, and Sophia; brothers, Wayne (Tanya) and Calvin (Gail); as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by brother, Randolph; grandson, Nicki.
We would like to thank our families and friends for their continued love and support. To the nurses at the chemo clinic @ VRH words cannot express our thanks, the VON and home care for their utmost care, to Drs. Merryweather, Harrigan, Mercier and Stone for their care and finally to our dear friend Dr. Ken Buchholz for your tender loving care. It was greatly appreciated.
A service will be held at 5:30pm Saturday, April 13, 2024 from the Annapolis Royal Fire Department with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the Oncology Department at Valley Regional Hospital. Online condolence may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
