Margaret was my father's first cousin. Unfortunately, they never met - I think they would have really enjoyed one another. I had the good fortune to meet Margaret, first with my mother in the 1990s and again, with my cousin and her daughter a few years ago. I will be eternally grateful to Margaret for sharing her memories of our family history, her grandparents (also my father's grandparents whom he never met) and, especially, her memories of 'Uncle Tom' who I cherished in my childhood. She took us to Unckie's gravesite in her family plot and told me she would be buried beside him. Somehow, I find that very comforting.
I send my heartfelt condolences to all of Margaret's Nova Scotia family and friends.
