Obituary of Doris Marie Hamilton
Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hamilton, Doris Marie (White). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister and aunt on January 3, 2017 at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, N.S. Doris was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Hayes) White of Phinney Cove. She was predeceased by her husband, Emdon Hamilton; brother, Edward of Bridgetown; Frank of Clarence; sisters, Delma Eldred of Niagara Falls; Gloria Rafuse of Middleton and Merlyn Niinep of St. Catherines, Ont. She is survived by sister, Roberta White of Bridgetown; sister-in-law, Marjorie White of Bridgetown and many very dear nieces and nephews. After the death of her husband, Doris moved to Ontario where she worked in a supervisory position for many years with the Niagara Parks Commission. Her hobby was oil painting and she created many beautiful pieces. She enjoyed playing 45’s and also the shopping malls where there were good suppliers of wearing apparel. She enjoyed Phinney Cove and the Old homestead. Visitation will be held Wednesday Jan. 4, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday from the Hampton Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Randy Legassie officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery. We are very grateful for the great care Doris received at Mountain Lea Lodge and also for the kindness shown there to the family members visiting Doris. Doris supported many worthwhile charities. Donations in her memory may be sent to the Hampton Baptist Church or to the Salvation Army, Bridgetown. On line condolences may be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
