I wish to extend to Annette and her family my deepest sympathy in their loss of John. Indeed, we have all lost a committed citizen of our small town. His good humor and cheer were always in good supply. How fitting and wonderful that both John and Annette were inducted into the Bridgetown Sports Hall of Fame last year.

To the family of John Tidd. I was in B Company West NSR, Bridgetwon in 1955/56 When John came to us from the Regular Army after he had served in Korea and had gotten injured while on a parachute course some time afterward. He was a great fellow and fit in well with the Regiment. He always had kind words for everyone and was helpful with those who needed it. When we held the Canadian Guards Reunion in Bridgetown, in 2002, John was in attendance. I had not seen him for over 40 years. It was a great reunion. I too served in the Regular Army myself for over 38 years and had been away from Bridgetown since 1959. Being from Tupperville, just outside Bridgetown I knew both Joe & Charles very well also. Please know that my wife, Marion, and I share in your sorrow at this tme. John will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Terry & Marion Dexter

We offer our sincere condolences. I knew John for only a few years, and that was primarily through the Bridgetown Koffee Klub. His good nature, cheerful smile, an local stories will be sorely missed.
